CloseHi, my name is Hari Pinapaka and I am the American Mock World Health Organization’s Vice President. I am currently a Junior at Enloe High School and am part of this experience because my interests lie in the field of medicine, and medicinal related matters.
CloseThank you for your interest in the American Mock World Health Organization. I am honored to have you all be a part of the first and only AMWHO High School Chapter. This organization was founded at Enloe High School during the 2017-2018 academic year. The Enloe American Mock World Health Organization was founded by three people Sahana Prakash, Shreya Tupakula, and myself. After we all had attended a one-day AMWHO summit, it inspired us to create our own chapter at our very own high school. We hoped that in doing so we would create an opportunity for high schoolers to engage in Model-WHO based activities and develop skills in the areas of global health affairs and diplomatic relations.
With that said, it is my honor to welcome you all as a delegate. I hope to see you at our next Model-WHO session!
-Rohan Deshpande
Founder of the Enloe American Mock World Health Organization
Neha grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina studying immunology research prior to attending UNC Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree. After taking courses on international development and the socioeconomic determinants of health, Neha realized her passion laid elsewhere in the fields of global health policy and health systems strengthening. She formed the American Mock World Health Organization as a junior in the college, and sought to improve the level of global health policy education currently existing in the country. After graduating in 2015, she interned at the World Health Organization’s Gender, Equity and Rights Division, attended the Emory Rollins School of Public Health for her MPH in Global Health, worked at CDC and USAID in Atlanta for two years, and with the U.S. Agency for International Development as a Policy and Governance Fellow. She now works as a Senior Analyst for Abt Associates on the Health Finance and Governance (HFG) Project.
